Does any change of the advanced settings also effect the amount of prestige earned when a unit surrenders?
I have lowered the settings, that is, more difficult, and it appears a much the prestige earned is lowered considerably...

Well no... haha... was considering if it might also depend on wether one has progressed farther in the campaign, that is: rewards are higher in 1939-41, lower in 1942 etc.
Anyway - would welcome confirmation from developer, etc. instead of merely assuming what is the cause...

You get a percentage of the units value (if it is <10 strength then you get the % of the unit), modified by the Player Prestige seting. Year or mission don't have anything to do with it: a Matilda in 1940 is worth the same in 1944.

BNC is correct. And to add to that, the basic percentage you get is 50% of the current units' value, after which other prestige modifiers (soft cap, difficulty settings, etc.) will further influence what you actually get. This % value can be modded in the gamerules.pzdat.

Ok that helps - had turned the option on as it seemed plausible that a unit surrendering would give me profit in capturing the units armor, vehicles, etc.
Although I disagree that this should be negativly affected by the sliders: a surrender is a surrender and should give the same amount of gain/bonus throughout the campagne, whatever difficulty setting.
Anyway - I will continue my game conquest with the same enjoyment - onwards to Stalingrad it is
