No music

I just recently booted up the game after a while on not playing, but when I started the game up there is no music. I tried adjusting the volume to see if that fixed the issue but it didn't. I figure I should note that this is on a new machine that I just got yesterday and just installed the game today.

Please post a DxDiag report file.

How to get a DxDiag file:

1. click on "START" (on Windows 8 Press "Windows Key" + "R" and go to step 3)
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice and attach it to your post

Try starting by updating the audio drivers:

It is all up to date for me. But still, no music plays in game. And in menu there isn't music when I first launch the game, and on scenario exit it turns into a lagging music.

Could you please open a new thread and post your DxDiag?

Updating the drivers didn't help, perhaps the game is not optimized for windows 10?

The game engine (Unity) is full compatible with Windows 10.

Check if some third party program is interfering.
You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.
A tutorial on how to do this can be found below:

Delete the folder named Settings as _Settings. That folder can be found in your Windows documents folder at:
...\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - Pacific

Are you sure there isn't a way to fix it?

No, of course not. Only, unfortunately, I don't have any more suggestions to offer.
Well perhaps there's one more... try reinstalling DirectX, although I don't have much hope as if there was any problem with DirectX you wouldn't be hearing the sfx as well.
Download this file from Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=8109

Run and extract it to a folder of your choice. Open that folder and find a file named "DXSETUP.exe". Run and let it install a full version of DirectX9c.

I'll give that a try, first I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling my audio driver.

Hi all,

I experienced a similar problem. The game started with music and the suddenly no music. What helped was turning the music (in the options menu) off (i.e. completely silent) and then on again. Probably a different problem than you are having, just thought to mention it in any case.

Regards,

Gunja
