Option 3 for me George - keeps it simple. Any chance we can pay at the Scottish Open this weekend?

Ooh I may be tempted to guarantee throwing my hat in the ring if we visit my old favourite Glasgow.

Schiltron fits around my year-end accounts better than Rollcall.

George, obviously it's your decision as to venue, but if I may make an observation that my usual sore back after 4 games in a weekend was absent after Schiltron this year, something I put down to the playing surface being higher at the Common Ground venue.

I agree the tables are great, but the cost is very high per person. When I get final costs for the two venues, will take the one that will attract most players for the events...

You could always play from a kneeling position in Glasgow I guess although that might be sore on your knees and lead yur opponent to believe youve already thrown in the towel! I liked the height of teh Stirling venue too. I'd pass on the lunch though - fine but over-priced.

Another option is Perth, George. Either the Football Club or the Memorial Hall. We will be using the Memorial Hall for one round this weekend so yuo can form a view.

I have added an event page to my facebook Schiltron page. This has the details for 2016 event in Stirling. Also the costs and times. Please check out rule 10. Which is my special rule (Only 2016). With the voting on here and everyone votes at the venue this year the theme for the next year event will be picked and announced at the end of this years event giving all players 12 months notice.

only vehicles registered to english addresses are now allowed across the damaged part of the bridge Paul - seemed like a fair compromise to the scottish government it appears.

FOG 15mm Rules (2016)

1. Venue : Common Ground Games
2. Cost: see link above for 2 day
3. The rules to be used are the latest version of the Field of Glory V2 rules. Armies may be chosen from the following army lists published at least one month prior to the competition.
4. The list submitted must not exceed 800 points for 15mm. All Books are available. (Please check rule 10 for additional free points)
5. The competition will use the full rules including the terrain and set-up appendices.
6. Army lists must specify the number and size of battle groups and their order of march for deployment, and the number and type of commanders chosen. They should also include the territory list for the army. Once an army list has been submitted it may not be changed or altered other than to correct any errors. 8. Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received by the List Checker not later than two weeks before the event
9. Min of 7 equal bounds to be played. If 6 bounds is not completed within 3hrs 15mins, an umpire will do Turbo rounds, of 120 seconds for Charge Announcement & Movement phases. All other phases are completed as normal.
10. Any army from Scotland, England, Wales or Ireland will count as a home nation army. Each Home nation army will receive a free upgrade of a single General from Troop to Field commander, if you list is in before 1st March 2016.
