The ancients who named this sector ‘Polaris’ sure had a unique sense of humor. Polaris - the bright star, the star of hope and faith. Well the Polaris sector has precious little of either; just a wilderness of gas, stars, and supernovae soaked in treachery, oppression, and the lust for power.

With Polaris Sector, developer SoftWarWare is bringing a fresh take on the 4X genre. Obviously, exploring systems with hundreds of stars, exploiting resources and negotiating treaties with other alien factions are essentials for building an empire. However this time you will have to give special attention to the mechanics of technological progress and warfare. Your engineers and scientists provide a high level of flexibility and ultimately you will have a plethora of options for designing warships and finding the right balance between fundamental and applied sciences. Will you be visionary enough to build weapons and research technologies that will make the difference in battles fought decades from now?

This ambitious sci-fi strategy game is now ready to enter the beta. And we invite players to help us test it! It's in progress for quite a while... I think there should be a third call some time soon.

The game looks awesome! It looks just like the 4X-game I have been searching for on the internet.

I would be honored to test the game and give you feedback. I have experience with testing and QA both from RL and from giving feedback on games in Early access.

The new Beta will most likely be ready this Sunday, so the new Beta round would most likely be next week, but it's up to Slitherine.

I am astounded by how much you have improved this game from the days of "Remember Tomorrow". This really could be the next classic 4x.

I applied to Beta test a couple of months back, so I'm delighted there is still a chance to help bug hunt.

I recently saw the game spotlight on Space Game Junkie's channel and it looks really well done. I'm a big fan of the genre and would love to try it!

Release date set to March 22nd!

I wish I can test the beta, I want to play all 4x space games this year comes out and make lets plays about it. This game seems really good so far.

I enlisted for beta, got email which I deleted, and now I have time wanted to test it, cant find anzthing. has beta restarted again?
Can someone check me? and give me access?
