Undrilled Foot moving close to an enemy BG

Hi,
A BG of undrilled foot fails is CMT to move close to the enemy. It can only choose to move full distance or stay stationary?
Ex: MF und BG has an enemy BG at 3 MU in front. MF fails it's CMT. Can it move up to the enemy?

Well, if the enemy is (even sligthly) less away then 3 MU, the foot can't move. (Unless it has a general with it, of course.)

Unless there is a general with the unit the only choice open to the undrilled MF would be to stay still.

Probably stating the obvious, but there is an option to not moving - charge!

There isn't because you must be in the move phase to take a complex test
