Expansions
Those who follow us on
Twitter/
Facebook should be aware we are getting close to completing the first major expansion for Order of Battle. More details will follow soon, but the setting remains close to the Pacific theatre while adding over 50 new units, new terrain types and new abilities.
Besides this, three other expansions are also in production. Two of them focus around the Pacific theatre of war while the third covers a
very different conflict - but visually and the combatants involved. But more on all that later
Skirmish
It's been announced for a while now, but with so many things going on it has been hard to focus our attention on this new mode. Still, we are hoping to introduce a first version together with the upcoming expansion - and accompanying patch - but no promises yet. It will become a main feature of the game series so we want to make sure we get it right from the first time. Regardless, we intend to expand and improve this mode over time, adding more and more (random) maps and playable nations.
Other
Our "to-do" list does not end here. Other things such as direct (TCP/IP) multiplayer, NATO counters, a campaign editor and of course the iPad version are still on there as well.
As far as Order of Battle goes, we've only just got started!

It would be great, that unit core experience can be transfer to another campaign...from MORNING SUN to PACIFIC (it is example) Not all units but some of units . Let say 10 % units from all army from previous campaign. I read that some of Japanese divisions from Kwantung army was transported from china to some islands on Pacific front....what do you think?...
Even that MORNING SUN campaign finish in 1945. It is no problem. After finish "Morning SUN" and starting PACIFIC campaign in DECemeber 1941 the core experience can be transfer from MORNING SUN from the time point: december 1941

. SO on the begining PACIFIC campaign we can have some of elite unit with core and experience from the previous MORNING SUN campaign....what do you think people?

My likes turn toward sea battles...maybe we could see the pursuit of the Bismarck, Graf Spee, > how about a battle of the Atlantic U-boats attacking convoys!. American Silent Service in the Pacific!!! Maybe the battle Of Jutland in WW1...

Our planned order of focus is: Expansion related content (almost done) > skirmish mode (in progress right now) > unit counters > iPad porting. We're hoping to complete the first three by the end of the year, and start work on iPad early 2016. As for how long the porting will take, it's too early to tell.

I'm going to really love to get new units and new playable countries, because I find it's the most difficult part to add user content. Scenario and Equipment files are quite easy to edit, Leaders can also be edited, even Specializations. But adding new uints requiere a very skilled person. And a lot of time!!
By the way, is it possible to take advantage about work already done? For example, could some 'Battle of Britain' units be added to core campaigns and scenarios?

With some modding effort, yes, should work.

I hope we get a 'consolidated' unit list available in the editor after Morning Sun is released.
Even those that do not purchase add-ons should be able to create custom stuff using everything available.
This would hopefully bring along more custom scenarios.
My personal opinion.
