What ? No additional commentary ? No runners and riders list ? No hassle, niggle or sledging ?? Has Oz suddenly gone all soft and fluffy ?
At least there'll be every chance of Ozzie's being able to get all of the medals this year. Hmmmm, it could even be a odds-on chance - but, let's face it, realistically that'll only happen if no kiwis will be there

!!
Heck, who knows, maybe this'll be the year when Dave could even be able to beat his brother in a game ? Or, failing that, at least someone could perhaps even take a point off Alex ? Or will it all just be a gigantic reformed guard Melbourne-benefit competition with nothing to show for the hard toiling, but unreformed, Sydney-siders ?
Seriously though . . . bestest of luck to all !! Enjoy yourselves !

At this stage we have six Melbourne players signed up (including myself as playing TO) and two New South Wales players. It doesn't look like Dave is km this year, so Alex is the lone Inglis. We'll see who can have a crack at knocking him off his pedestal.

6 vs 2 ... seems like a fair match up

I'm not sure that sledging them counts unless you are actually going...

Keith's just getting in some early sledging practice in preparation for the Melbourne comp in July

Wasn't it mainly Australians on the podium last year? I don't remember seeing anyone slobbering while scratching their delicate areas with a trophy at the end of the comp.

Playing unreformed is playing with the training wheels taken off. Not for everyone.

Thanks for all the sledging from the safety of your couch Keith

Looking forward to it. 1st FOG N tournament for me as I've always umpired. Should be messy... Good to see some runners and riders Tyler.

After talking-up the skill level required to play unreformed I have no choice but to bring my friends in white.

Very enjoyable comp with all opponents being a pleasure to play against. Extra thanks to Tyler for organising it ( even though he smashed me in the last round ).

Alex came first on 107 points ( possible 125 ).
Martin Williams came 2nd on something like 95 - he beat Alex 13-12
Daylight back to the rest of us. Richard Gordon third ( although Tyler finished on more points but as TO he was uncomfortable with taking a place )

I was certainly nothing more than a speed bump for him
