Game don't start (Macbook Retina)

I moved to a new Macbook Pro Retina. I was able to play the game on my old Macbook (Non-Retina). I tried the solution sticky in the post "SOLUTION: Mac launch issues " but it did not work. Here are the current specs: 2015 Macbook Pro Retina / 2.5 GHZ / 16GB / 512GB SSD / AMD R9 370X GPU / OS X 10.11
When I start the game, the display switches to all white, with a black rectangle in the lower left (the mouse cursor is super tiny as well). Then it switches back to my desktop with an error message that the app failed to start. I tried diffrent settings for my display, but this did not help me start the game. I deleted the App and did a re-install. I also deleted the folders created by the game (/users/[user name]/Order of Battle - Pacific).
Thanks for any help.

For a starter, are you launching the game through Steam or is this the Slitherine version launched directly through the .app?

It is the .App version downloaded from Bluesnap. So it is not the Steam version.

Did you copy the app to the applications folder and run it from there? I believe it won't work directly from the mounted DMG file.

I didn't run it from the mounted DMG. I have dragged the icon "Pacific" to the applications folder. Business as usual.

The error isn't very clear, but suggest something to be wrong related to screen resolution(s). Some googling reveals a number of Unity3D games are having issues on certain Macs when trying to get a list of all supported resolutions, but so far no clear solutions have been reported.
There is on suggestion in
this forum thread:
I found two solutions to the problem.
i) plug on a monitor via HDMI
ii) in Settings / Energy (OS X settings; don't know the exact terms, my system runs in german) there is a option to automatically switch between Intel and AMD graphics card. Deactivate it.
I'm not sure if this applies to your Mac Air though?

I changed that setting (OS X energy options) and the game startet without crashing. However, the game screen resolution is very low. I guess 480x640. Most of the controls are out of bounds and I can't play nor can I change any of the settings. Is there a property file where I can adjusted that with a text editor?

In the attachment is an options.dat file with resolution set to 1024x768 windowed mode. Extract it into the folder:
Users\<username>\Library\Order of Battle - Pacific\Settings
(or Users\<username>\Order of Battle - Pacific\Settings, I can't remember exactly which it is right now).
That should allow you to start the game in the minimum resolution requirements.

This is really weird. Your "options.dat" had no effect but I was copying the one "option.dat" I had kept as backup on my desktop. Surprising enough I was able to start the game exactly once. After that it crashed again. I switched off again the option to allow MacOX to switch automatically between discrete and integrated GPU and the game started (1680 x 1050 res). Not really a hassle free software setup, but hey it worked.
Bottom line it seems that the Unity engine has an issue with switching from integrated to discrete GPU on startup. Disabling that option permanently in MacOS drains the battery.
Thanks a lot for your help an patience.
