STUCK between Java Sea & Java invasion

Hey guys, read stuff on the forum ALL the time but have never posted.. Haven't had one issue with the game until now. I'm in my 3rd Japanese Campaign, just finish Java Sea (like a boss I might add), made it back to the main screen where I pick my speacialist thing, try to start the Invasion of Java and..... CAN'T HIT CONTINUE!!

Now I did see a one or more threads about a problem with the Philippines offensive getting stuck in a similar way but haven't noticed any issues pertaining to the Java offensive. Did I miss it or am I lucky enough to be "that one guy" with "that one problem"??!! I went into the folder where the Philippines thread mentioned the problem was and double checked to make sure all the images were there, and they are.

Just to be clear, my problem lies during the loading screen when you are about to enter a mission. The loading screen pops up, loads, gives me a helpful hint while I wait, and then continue pops up (which should take me to the mission briefing).. When I hit continue- nothing happens (except after the 4th time I tried to restart the game and it didn't work I started to cry a little.. but lets keep that between us)

Can someone help when possible please! I am EAGER to invade Java and spread my Imperial Empire!

I apologize.. I'm an idiot.. saw a fix on steam after from the developer via a google search.. It's prob right infront of my face on the forum too... SORRY about that, you know how it gets when things stop your Imperial Expansion.. can't think clearly!

Hi,

I have solved that problem, but right after starting Java, the Dutch destroyed that bridge and the game froze again.
Trying to load an old file, the game told me, that the AI is still active.
So I am sitting on the beaches without a chance to continue.
I already have substitute the old units file and I have upgraded to version 1.94.

Can anyone help me? :(

Hi Jo,

Do you have a savegame from which this can be reproduced? If so, please zip it in a zip file and attach it to a post here.

I would, if you could tell me where to find the savegames? :oops:
Nevertheless, the problem also occurs starting the Java Scenario.
I already played the complete Japan campaign before the BoB mod with the old 1.8.4 version.

In my documents, my games, you should find an OOB:P folder with savegames.

Just to be sure, are you playing with the latest patch?

I will shortly move this thread to the tech support sub forum.

Got the same problem. After bridge blows up the game freezes.

Could I ask one of you to post an output_log.txt log gathered just after the error? You'll find it in the game installation folder in program files.

Hi drolek,

I don't see any error in the attached log.

Just to be clear, the log is overwritten every time you run the game, so it needs to be collected after the error has occurred.

I heard this problem before but never managed to repeat it. However I now tried it in "tactical map" display mode (boardgame style tiles) instead, and now it does indeed fail to process the turn.

Am I correct that those of you reporting the issue are all using that display mode? If so, until we can get a fix out you should be able to get past these turns by using the 3D mode - at least until the AI turn has finished. It's related to the bridges blowing up, so for each turn that happens you'll have to use the default "3D world" mode.
