Is Wolves from the Sea happening?

Hello. I've decided I'd rather play ancient war games than the WWII stuff. Field of Glory really looks like what I want. Ancient Greece, Rome, Europe, Crusades, etc. However, Vikings would clinch the deal for me.
Is the Wolves From the Sea campaign still going to be produced for FOG?
Thanks

It already has been actually. It just hasn't been released as we are waiting on Slitherine to release the new version of the base game first (which will be free and supposedly imminent if you're not aware). In one of the beta versions, both wolves of the sea and oath of fealty were available to play, both DAG armies and scenarios. They both look like they'll be great expansions.

Were there any new battles for those expansions as well? I can't download the Beta because my new PC's Firewall is too aggressive - so waiting for the official new release.

There were some new battles, just can't remember what they were. And it was a few betas ago actually.

The new WFS, OFE and OFL addons content was fully accessible at some point during the beta (in order to have it tested).
The current open beta build v2.2.00.1006 (GC5) is actually the same build as the release version, and therefore has included the new addons WFS, OFE and OFL, but they need to be activated via their own serial numbers (which will be acquired at the moment you're purchasing them). So they can not be accessed until the products will be available for sale (atm you can join and play a WFS, OFE or OFL game even if you don't have them as long as the challenge issuer has them activated - but this behavior is not firmly established, and might change in the future).

Cool, I may indeed be getting this game then. Thanks!

A question from the unlettered: either OFE or OFL is Oath of Fealty I presume. What is the other one?

Both are Oath of Fealty: OFE is Oath of Fealty Early and OFL is Oath of Fealty Late.
OoF was split into two books because, beside the fact there's a huge number of them even when split in two, the armies from the early period are much less powerful than the armies from the late period, resulting in somewhat unbalanced games between them. And even if split between OFE and OFL, they can still be played together as all OFE and OFL armies are marked as themed available for each other.

Thank you for your answer. I find the scope of that series interesting.

I've still not seen anything on this and the link for it as an add on says it is unavailable, no information on product.

As I understand it, Wolves from the Sea is all ready to go, but won't be released for the existing version of the game. As soon as the new version is released Wolves from the Sea will be released with it, along with Oaths of Fealty.
Best Wishes

If we'd done that we'd all be dead by now.

Thanks for the info. I'll wait for all of that before I purchase FOG.

And by the time it actually comes out we probably will be.
