Just looking at the Immortal Fire Classical Greeks on page 8.
The Hoplite choices are divided into

Only before 460:
Only from 490:

options.
Is this a typo or am I missing something besides the intervening years?

This is actually an overlap of 30 years.

'Before 460BC' means 460, 461, 462, 463, etc. (up to and beyond 490BC)

'From 490BC' means 490, 489, 488, 487, etc. (down to and beyond 460BC).

That is what I think but haven't seen any other lists with overlaps and could not find it addressed in a search.

It is a deliberate overlap of 30 years to allow for a transitional period.
