Was a little concerned as I could not see the "PC Style game saves" as a new feature in the iTunes page but see it in the articles here.

Can you clarify if the iPAD version will allow specific saves to slots where users can load a specific saved game / revert to a previous turn?

Yes, that's right. The save system is the same on IPAD (1 auto save + 4 slots).

Fun game system - but that element always ruined it for me.

I bought the game on the AppStore.

Looks like last update setting has not changed and there is no updated Save interface apparent in the menu.

Are we waiting for the ending of the dreaded Apple hold for 2 weeks before release period?

The Bulge update went live on the App Store last night so check for updates.
