Sorry if this has been asked before, but suppose I have a 4 stand unit of scythed chariots, and at the end of the JAP only one is in contact with steady enemy troops. Do I remove that base only, or the entire battle group?

The entire battle group goes as far as I am aware.

I will check the rules but I am pretty sure this is the case.

If those four stands were part of the one BG then the whole BG goes. I havent seen any people play with 4 chariots in a BG for this very reason. Also you hardly get a chance to have all 4 hit in impact phase. best to play in BGs of 2 chariots.
