I'm new to the game and new to Multiplayer but I have noticed that many of my opponents choose to buy extra Artillery with their prestige points. It would suggest that Artillery is a little bit over powered in the game. Anyone else notice this?

Depends on what you consider overpowered. Considering that artillery was still key to victory in WW2, even for the German panzer divisions, I think they are fine.

I suppose what I mean is that you get more "bang for you buck" when purchasing Artillery than anything else. In most games I have played Artillery has been over represented. I face Panzer corps with more Artillery units in them than Tank units. So when I say "overpowered" I'm talking about their ease of purchase and effect in the game over other units.
