I'm in the Bataan scenario and decided to take a look at the 2D Tactical Map. I'd like to get back to the 3D Tac map but despite changing the option and restarting not only the scenario, but the game and my PC, I'm stuck on 2D even though the 3D option is clearly checked on the Options page. Simple fix, I'm sure, but I can't find it.

Great game! Looking forward to putting in many hours.

Edit: I'm attaching my dxdiag. Also, I verified the Steam cache. 7 files had to be reacquired but it made no difference to my problem.

It's been reported several times. They are working on it.

May I ask where it's been reported? I looked through the forum fairly thoroughly before posting, I thought. Perhaps I overlooked something.

But, in the meanwhile, I'm stuck with a 2D map that looks like winter on Bataan? Seriously? Any hope for a hotfix?

And another one but I can't remember which one it is.

I found it, main forum. Titled "Cannot open strategic map".

No big deal and I should have stayed out of this and let the developers answer. Sorry.

They are working on a hotfix and they indicated it might be out his week.

Yolo, thanks for these replies. Very kind of you.

Thought it might be worthwhile to note that there is a simple fix to this problem. I went into C:\Users\Tim\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - Pacific\Settings and deleted the options.dat file. On restart everything came up 3d.

Thanks for the tip. I deleted it (after saving and renaming it). as soon as an opponent does a turn I will check it out.

Sorry to hear that Yolo. I'm using the Steam version; would that make a difference? I don't see how, given that options.dat appears to be stored locally.

Wasn't a hotfix supposed to be out last week? Any news on that? I've had no replies from the devs on either forum.

I have Steam but I'm not using it for this game. The hotfix was originally scheduled for last week, so maybe it's coming soon.
