So I went to play this game for the very first time and they game won't start when clicking on the game in my Steam library. I even right clicked on the game name and said to create a desktop shortcut which also doesn't work.
I had to go to the file location and create a desktop the old fashioned way then the game launched. I have multiple Steam libraries spread across different partitions, but I am not sure that is causing the issue.
I would really like to be able to launch it from my Steam library instead of cluttering up my desktop with a shortcut.

Hi, it's the PC version. Here are my specs:

Windows 8.1 64-bit
16GB Ram
GTX 980 Classified
i5-2500K

I noticed this morning when I click on the link from my Steam library a window comes up briefly that says "Preparing to launch Order of Battle.."

Open the game installation folder and find a file named Order of Battle - Pacific.exe . Please run it. Do you receive the same error message?

No, there is no error in the Event Viewer and the game launches.

Then if the problem is only with autorun.exe, please check if your Internet security programs (anti-virus, anti-malware, firewall, etc.) aren't interfering with it.
