Mouse issues (Windows 8 64 bit)

I am experiencing a very annoying mouse issue with panzer corps (v. 1.22, have the full package, Windows 8.1 64bit) on all scenarios, campaigns and DLC. I am not using any mods.
when selecting a unit with left key, it behaves like a double klick. therefore the unit sometimes moves to wherever the cursor was or it attacks. I have tried a different mouse, no success. I also tried to use the 2-mouse-button function, then the unit I select gets de-selected again so I have to try multiple times until I can finally select a unit.
does anyone else have this problem or have an idea how to fix it?

Most likely it is an issue with your mouse. Try using another one (borrow a friend's), and then if the problem persists then you may need a new PC (though I don't recommend spending $1000 on a new computer unless you are absolutely sure there isn't another issue)

I have seen similar issues come up in other games for many people.
Typically this was when using a more "complex" then standard mouse - which typically also requires to use drivers for it. Obviously most just plug & play even such mouses and then you can have such issues.
What is your mouse device exactly ?
Are there maybe dedicated drivers for it ? (and are these drivers also available for Win 8 64?

I tried a different, standard Microsoft USB mouse - same problem

Thank you for your tip. I'm using a Logitech MX wireless mouse. Windows should use a different driver when I plug in a different mouse - don't you think so? I only have this issue since about 2 months, could it also be a Windows update? So far Panzer Corps is the only game/application that has problems...

I have an M-100 connected to my PC and an M-105 to the laptop, so these issues are puzzling me even more
I'm not sure if you would want to spend an hour reinstalling the game, but this solved an issue for me once, so it could work again

Hmmm...check the double-click detection speed setting of your mouse devices in -> Control panel -> Mouse -> Buttons.
Try to change it to a slower / higher value and see if that makes any difference.
For reference my setting is on position 7 from left to right.

Yes. Check the logitech website for mouse drivers...maybe installing them solve this issue for you then as the "default" mouse driver might show some oddities in your case.

Thanks to all of you for the tips. I'll try them tonight and provide a feedback. Enjoy your weekend.

And check if you have configured the mouse in the game options... for one button or two button.

I first misread the thread title as "Maus issues".

I had similar mouse problems that were solved by a new mouse. Cheaper and easier than buying a new PC!
