Is it possible to play the multi=player scenarios against the AI?

Also, I know that individual scenarios within a campaign are unlocked once they are successfully completed within the campaign. My question is, can you play the scenarios from the opposing side? Example -- I have completed the Japanese campaign and all of the scenarios are available to play as a single battle, but can I play it as the Americans?

Short answer: no

The scenarios need to have the AI scripted for the specific alliance's units.
That's why you'll see a lot of multiplayer scenarios, they are "easy" to create.
There's a lot more work involved scripting the AI, especially if you want it to be a 'worthy' opponent.
