Legions of Steel is out! With a Stream!

The first thing you see is the sky covered by falling stars. Next you observe explosions scarring the ground and destroying your cities. When it's too late, you realize what is truly happening. Your planet doesn't belong to you anymore. It belongs to the Machines!
Legions of Steel is releasing today! The game depicts a dark future where the majority of the races inhabiting the Milky Way are driven to unite against the deadliest menace of all: endless hordes of sentient machines devoted to the annihilation of all other species. These latter formed an Alliance trying to cripple the enemy by knocking out their underground facilities. This kind of mission is not suitable for large groups of units and the Alliance is forced to rely on smaller - but better trained and equipped - squads named Commando!
Legions of Steel is a tactical board game where battles are fought in a dark and dangerous environment. French developer Studio Nyx have managed to re-create the deep and challenging set of rules, giving players plenty of shooting and movement options.
Two challenging campaigns are designed to make you feel the sensation of fighting in a hostile and narrow complex of underground facilities, where the wrong order to only one of your men could bring the destruction of you entire squad thanks to a very pro active AI.
And if you are eager to engage other humans don't miss the chance to try our flexible and dynamic Tournament System which uses a non-elimination format. The best for a more challenging experience!
But the news about the game is not over!
In order to show you all of its features,
we will stream it today at 20:00 CEST / 18:00 UTC / 2:00 PM EDT on our official Twitch Channel!
And last but not least, while the game is available for PC and very soon for iPad, we wish to announce a
beta call for the
Android version of the game!

Product Page

I've already emailed our web administrators about the issue.

Will there ever be a OSX version of this game? And if so, if I buy the PC version now will I be able to get the Mac version without having to pay again?

For the moment, a Mac OSX version is not planned.
TokyoDan wrote:And if so, if I buy the PC version now will I be able to get the Mac version without having to pay again?
When we release a game on Mac OSX you can download in both platforms PC Windows and Mac OSX.
In case of the iPad (and Android) you have always to buy it separately.

Not entirely true, Zak. Only when it's iPad (and Android). See above.

For example we sell Buzz Aldrin Space Manager for Windows, Mac OSX and iPad. When someone buys the PC version, will also be able to download the Mac OSX version.
The iPad version must be bought seperately from iTunes store.

Thanks for the misinformation. You guys ought to get your stories together because it it can hurt customer good will. It is misinformation like this that caused me to buy the Steam Mac version of Star Hammer thinking I could then take my Steam key to the Slitherine website to download the DRM-free version. If I had been given the correct information I would have 1st bought it from the Slitherine website because I'd rather run the game without having to startup Steam every darn time I want to play.

sorry if that's was aimed at me, as VPaulus is staff as it says in his title and is always correct, i'm just a user like yourself who tries to help out, if i give out misinformation it's by error and wasn't meant to be wrong, mistakes happen, and i'm sorry for that, but read what he has put, most games work like i said it, so while i'm wrong on the odd game, most games and i mean a high 90% + work as i put it, buy one doesn't get you any other version, so a slight mistake, but understand it's still a wrong reply, so sorry for that, but i've never mentioned buy from steam, as i'm a site person myself, who always get's from site first then registers the key and then installs only then if i wish to on steam, so have no idea where that came from either, seems you maybe have the wrong end of the stick me thinks?
viewtopic.php?f=363&t=65668
seems the info you was given elsewhere and not on the forum was wrong, neither myself or any staff member said anything other than that it seems then, ah good not me to blame then

I am sorry as I thought you were a Slitherine employee speaking for Slitherine because of your username which ends with '_slith'. Maybe you should change that as it could be misleading for others and it was for me. Anyway no problem. The games are great, both Star Hammer and LoS, so I can't complain. And thanks for trying to help.

when you port your name over from matrix site the forum did it for me, as over at matrix my user name is zakblood, but here they add an extension so it's zakblood_slith which is auto done and not by me so i can see why it may look strange but i didn't do it the forum does i'm sorry to say so can't change it either
but do see why it could mislead, but all staff have the board logo in there name as well, where forum users don't, or shouldn't have to not mislead anyone into thinking there staff when they aren't

atm it's mixed, with the newest being played the most so for me it's
Brother against Brother, The Drawing of the Sword with over 400+ hours played inc testing it...
then,
Gary Grigsby's War in the West...
Order of Battle Pacific & Star Hammer The Vanguard Prophecy, others are in beta so can't mention them

Zak - I know you are just trying to help, but this is a common occurrence in your postings - misinformation. Often times it is better to just let the staff and developers answer questions. Especially when you don't say "this is just a guess so don't quote me . . ." or something like that. You stated an incorrect fact. No, we don't have to be 100% correct all the time, and this isn't the national budget we're writing about here, but it just gets frustrating. This has happened in multiple of your Brother against Brother postings too, amongst others, giving out information that was completely incorrect. You don't have to build up your post count all the time, you know.
I know that I probably sound like an ass, and I should mind my own business, but it just gets old when you respond to EVERYTHING, and you yourself even say you are wrong much of the time. It is not helping anybody to give out incorrect answers, so just lay back and let the devs or staff respond.
I really like your enthusiasm, Zak, and you are basically part of the furniture at Slitherine and Matrix Games, as much as you help them. But, sometimes you just confuse things more and that's not good either.
Onwards!

message read and understood, i'll try and do better from now on
last post on both sites from now, will stick to beta replies in closed sections and feedback and let staff do what do best, give out the correct information and i'll step back into the shadow and test, post count makes little difference to me and if helping i'm making it worse, then i'll stop, makes no difference to me and never meant to become a pain i've seemed to have become... seems my enthusiasm has gone too far too often...
sorry all
