I have just re-loaded PC and PCAK from scratch. Did PC, then updated it, then PCAK and updates. Then tried to start the game and got e&w messages

_proj.dat is encrypted, and you have not provided the correct code, Go to next item (if any)?

followed by

DynaZip UnZIP Error: User skipped this operation

followed by

Failed to extract project file to memory.

Would you point me in the right direction how to fix this please?

Please try downloading the last update from them link below:

Once you have downloaded the file please unzip it. Run the extracted file to update the game.
Run the gam,e and check if the issue persists.

I have done this and PK works - which PKAK should I know apply to it? (just to be safe)

Haven't you installed yet Afrika Korps?
If Panzer Corps is installed, Afrika Korps must be installed as an expansion and not as a stand alone.

No not installed yet. Because I had had the problems putting PK on my PC, I am being conservative.

I waited until you send me the PK link, installed it and played it to see that everything works.

So, still being conservative, I am checking to see if the link to AK that I have downloaded and ready here is the one that I should use (I already have a key)

Yes, that's correct.
Just install AK. It should be installed over Panzer Corps. If everything is scorrect tit will install automatically over it, as the installer will look for Panzer Corps installation path.

Some people report an issue after having installed AK over patch 1.22. If you have any issue just reinstall 1.22.
