Hi everybody,

i got little problem here, so maybe someone can help me out


I tried to start my old grand campain saves (26.11.2013) to replay/finish some maps


No problem to load the savegame, but then i only get a black screen instead of the map,

the bar on the right with the turns, prestige, etc. works fine, except that there are no units and turns/prestige are at 0


My allied,afrika, wehrmacht saves work without any problem (I'm using PC via Steam)


If anybody have an idea please help me

Please download and install the last patch from the link below:

Unzip the downloaded file. Run the extracted file to update the game.

Unfortunately it didn't work

the updater didn't not recognize my PC-Installation (tryed it in my download and PC-directory)

On the other hand...shouldn't steam provide me with the latest update automatically?

Yes if you are playing the game over Steam it should be updated automatically. The patch is, as far i know, only for the version distributed directly by Slitherine and this is probably the reason why it didn't work with your Steam version. About your original problem: Do you have any mods installed that possibly interfere with the grand campaign but not with the other campaigns? If yes try to do a clean reinstall and see if the save game is working then. If not could you try to zip the save file and attach it here on the boards (or if the board does not allow you to do it just PM it to me). I can try to check then if the save game is working on my installation.

the only thing i installed extra is the campaign for the original Panzer General (PG campaign for PzC_v0.1)

Ps: I remember that the grand campaing saves had been made on the Slitherine directly distrubted version and in 2014 i switched to steam...could this cause the problem?

Seems that the PG campaign for PzC_v0.1 mod files caused the trouble

Glad to see the problem is resolved. Mods can replace files, which may sometimes cause other campaigns or mods to misfunction. This is why it's a good idea to use GME to enable and disable mods.
