Just purchased WH40K Armageddon Collectors Edition and am experiencing a problem. Here are my steps:

1. Download and install from purchase link = this is v1.07, install to my games disk (G:\WH40K Armageddon)
2. Run game in admin mode and select [Check for Update]
3. Update check runs, does itself a restart and finds new game update (v1.08) and installs
4. Install completes successfully
5. Restart game and now select [Play Game]
6. Intro movie plays then screen blanks and I get Dialogue 1
Error Dialogue 1

7. Click [OK] and get Dialogue 2
Error Dialogue 2

8. Click [OK] and get Dialogue 3
Error Dialogue 3

9. Click OK and game leaves my PC's mindspace.

Have uninstalled and then reinstalled twice now (to same location) with no joy.

The TTF file is in the correct folder under the game's root directory.

System is Windows 8,1 64 Pro, i5 CPU (4670K Haswell), 8GB RAM, 770 nVidia GPU (2GB VRAM) with latest vid drivers

Help please!

This is what I posted in another thread and it worked for me. I used an online font converter to convert every caslon-antique font to .ttf format, renamed and replaced them even though they already were on that format and now the game runs.

The developers are still investigating the issue.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the font conversion trick and report back.

Yup, you were right PlatedSorok - looks like some type of font corruption or permission issue with the caslon family of fonts in the UI/fonts directory.

I used an online conversion tool to convert all the caslon ttf files to ttf and renamed the originals with an xxx suffix to the filename and used the original filenames on the converted files.

Hope that helps the devs sort it out.
