Since it's a hard to trace how often the patch has been tested, please answer this poll.

Not yet, I still have a couple of scenarios to finish the present campaign. I will install the 1.7.5 patch when starting a new campaign.

I am right now busy with many things, this is also why I stopped playing my current Japanese campaign, so no time for beta testing, sorry.

I'm testing it and I've found a graphic bug and I have some crash reports.

The graphic bug has to do with bombs and grenades being rendered hot pink during attack animations.

Crash reports are attached! :)

If I wanted to make some suggestions for changes/addons for the game where would I make such a post or, is there a "suggestion box" post somewhere?

I'd say just post a thread in the forum here, similar to the one about experience...

We are aware of the little grenade gfx prob in the beta - thx for reporting anyway :)

Just a few things I noticed. Note that when I installed the patch, I was on the last map of the Japanese campaign, so I played with the patch for only about an hour.
- The pink grenade thing someone else mentioned
- some other weird pink stuff, for example on that japanese 88 AA gun thingie.
- my music had disappeared
- all tooltips had disappeared
- after liberating the POWs in the american army camp, I could select, but not move two of them
- Choppy music in the campaign screen
- a little graphic bug where a combat prediction cursor icon with 0 - 0 odds was stuck in the lower left part of my screen for the duration of the session

Can you attach a logfile when any of these things are happening (aside from the pink textures, that's been fixed)?

It sounds like there may be errors happening in the background.

On top of that, did anybody else not experience any issues with patch 175? If so, please get back to this topic and post your logfiles or saved games.

I would love to help, but I'm not sure where to find the log file. Or how to create one when the issues surface.

Auto Saves

The game creates Autosaves in the My Docs\My Games\Order of Battle - Pacific\SaveGames folder. There are both Autosave.sav and Autosave (End Turn).sav files, the first is created at the start of your turn, the latter on clicking end turn.

If something weird happens during your turn, it is useful to have the Autosave + instructions on how to repeat it (if possible at all).
If something happens during the AI turn, send us the (End Turn) autosave.

If you zip the sav files you should be able to attach them to forum posts.

Log File

If the game freezes or crashes completely, please send us the log file.

It is called output_log.txt and sits in the Order of Battle - Pacific_Data folder in the game's root folder.

I see. Well, since nothing crashed, you are getting the AutoSave. :)

The two Volunteer Fighter units in the POW camp can't be moved.
Sometimes (About every second time I load up the save) the background music is missing, and once I get to the campaign screen, caught in an infinite, one-second loop.
The tool tips are gone.
The bug with the stuck combat prediction icon didn't occur again.

It was doing that before the patch, the 2 volunteer units in the POW camp that aren't touching the border can't be moved.

I see. Well, since nothing crashed, you are getting the AutoSave.
If the game or music is stuttering for no apparent reason it's very likely errors are happening in the background. So please upload the logfile when you see this problem again.

Regarding autosaves:

If the error happened during your own turn, please send us the AutoSave from the start of the turn in which the error occurred, and instructions to repeat what you did to cause the error.
If the error happened during the AI turn (such as 'infinite loops' etc) please send us the end turn auto save saved just before the AI took it's turn.

I restarted the game four or five times, trying to reproduce the sound bug, but so far it has not happened again. If it re-occurs, I will upload the logfile per your instructions. :)

I have, however, found something else!
The same autosave I uploaded above...I'm one move away from completing the Japanese campaign. However, when doing so I don't seem to be getting the steam achievement.

Edit: Eureka! The sound loop glitch happened again. Since I was not sure if the log will be overwritten with every game start or something, I made a copy of it while the game was running, and another one from after I had quit the game. Good luck with finding whatever is wrong. :)
