Is there a better manual somewhere?

The manual for iPad leaves alot to be desired.
Is there a better documnet/guide somewhere?
For example, when a unit takes casualties you see, sometimes, red and white numbers.
Can someone explain these?
Thanks.

Hi - I would also like to know this. The manual is very light compared to Panzer or Pike and Shot - I have read various threads and posts from the PC release to get more info about combat mechanics, but it's a bit disparate and time consuming (I'd rather just know how it works and enjoy playing!)
Last year I see the devs talking about wanting to improve on the documentation - any progress?

Got this one, I think...
Improved damage indication: during combat, both inflicted damage (white number) and killed strength (red number with skull) are shown, for each weapon individually
Have I got this bit right, then?
Strength = # units in squad
Damage = # hit points per unit (when HP at zero another unit is lost)
So white number (damage) is increments of red number (units)
Combat predictions are measured in hit points
This page explains in much more detail, although I can't vouch for its accuracy!

We made a lot of tweaks since the manual was written but never thought to go back and update it. We'll add this to the long wish list!
