Questions about game mechanics

Hi to all. I just began to enjoy this amazing game so I have a few questions. Could someone clarify them for me, please?

1) As I understand, I can't see the fixed damage stats for weapons (just looking at it on unit stat screen), but only situational (based on range, cover, accuracy and so on), is it? And two numbers shown by sides of the target sign when I point the cursor on enemy unit - are MIN and MAX probable damage values, are they?
2) As I understand, 100% LOS obstacles block only firing, but not spotting. It seems not very logical. Or am I wrong?

1) You can see the attack strenght, base accrucacy , accrucacy range modifier and Penetration. The 2 numbers are expected damage done and expected damage taken.

2) 100% LOS does block spotting

1) Of course, I do know I can examine these stats.

2) Ah, I see. So it's just doubling these green lifebars with expected loss shown.

3) Well, maybe it was a bug, but I met this situation literally in the first tutorial mission when my Sentinel made a move along the hex row horizontally, came upon the mountain tile (100% LOS block), stopped and spotted the enemy that was lurking BEHIND it, so the enemy became visible but unreachible to attack.
