Pace for Multiplay

The multiple play pace seems glacial. Started one game and so far almost a day later only one move made. Is this typical? It would be great if there were a better more real-time system.

It's a good idea to post a note with your challenge if you specifically want someone who is playing quick turns. The async nature of the system is one of the attractions for a lot of people who only have limited play time each day.

At one a move per day it will take a long time to complete a game. Are there plans for a more interactive multiplayer capability?

The async system is vastly more popular than those requiring people to be online at the same time for an hour or two (by a factor of about 100). Many players will play a game in a single evening, as I say, if you make it clear in your challenge then you are more likely to get quicker games. While some people will only play a turn a day it isn't a requirement.

On the other hand, you may have some battles playing simultaneously, so when you have the time you have some 6-8 turns to play.
That`s the way many of us use to play, i guess

Absolutely - paired games are supported directly by some games (though not BA thanks to my laziness I guess!

) can be a good way to keep playing. Simply host a couple of challenges on the same maps but from each side.

...also makes a difference what continent and time zone you're in. Not everyone lives in continental USA, I've heard...
Ps - you joined in 2011 and have only just started multiplayer? I agree, truly glacial...

Having said that, 'mikeandike52' accepted a challenge of mine in May, then did not submit a single turn for 30 days. I just closed it off but you have to wonder, 'Why accept in the first place?'

I've had games like this also. And have had the same thing accepting someone's challenge...why create it if your not going to play it?

I am perfectly fine with one turn a day. Take note that nit all in the same time zone.

The best solution may be to post a thread here saying "looking for players on such and such a map to play 4 or 5 turns per day" and see what you get. =)
