Can't launch more than one squadron of drones?

I could launch both of them on the first mission I played with the Dreadnought, but now it's only letting me launch one. Is this a bug, or is it because some of them were destroyed last mission and won't be back until a resupply? The HUD still says I have 2 squadrons available and that 1/2 have been deployed.

Edit: Another thing I noticed (on a previous mission) is if you try to launch both squadrons in one turn, or accidentally click the launch button twice, any drones that would have been in the second squadron that make it out by the time the turn ends will be uncontrollable and destroyed once you deploy drones again, which you'll have to do if you want to control the second squadron.

There are a couple of possibilities. One, as you say, drones were destroyed. They'll be resupplied at the end of the chapter. The other is that the during a mission, the launch bay is damaged. You can use repairbots, they'll fix weapons and sub-systems before they fix hull damage.

The issues with clicking the launch button twice is definitely a bug, I'll look into that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks for clearing that up. Now if only they would stop blowing themselves up by ramming into each other/the dreadnought while docking :P

Another question in case you do come back and read this:

Do pitch levels determine whether or not you can hit something at all? It seems like some weapons just won't attack if the ship is too far above or below its target, especially the forward facing lasers on the Hammerhead and Albatross.

Yeah, it does. The weapon arc you'd see when the arc overlays are show has an angle of fire. The same angles apply to pitch as forward/backward or left/right axis' Beam weapons have a narrower arc, so a closer pitch level will be needed to be able to fire (especially when the target is close)

btw, a fast moving dreadnought is harder to dock with :)
