Patch 1.7.0 is now available and it brings a few changes and improvements.

-Unclosable campaign events fixed
-Online News available in main menu
-PBEM server time-out issue improved

The main reason for this patch was to clear the bug blocking the Japanese campaign. More will follow soon but we wanted that out the way quickly.

I also noticed the achievements for winning a campaign were now implemented.

Any chance the bug in the US Coral Sea sea scenario where you couldn't complete the secondary "destroy all aircraft" objective was fixed? Just asking because I'm now close to that scenario in my US campaign.

No other changes were implemented in this patch. A lot of stuff has been done since last patch but it would be way too risky to release without extensive testing. Expect the next one to contain a lot more fixes and new content.

Pardon my ignorance, but the 1.7.0 update. this get out? or already came out? if I already went, where you can download?

I get 'no such file or directory' when I follow that link.

And the in-game updater also failed.

I can't find it on the Matrix FTP atm. May have to wait until the Slitherine crew comes back after the weekend.

Every patch will always include all the changes from the previous patches so you can install them on top of any version.

I updated via the game with no problem, and I have already noticed many small improvements (graphics at briefing, stability, etc.). Thanks!

Hello ! After the tests I see that: in MIDWAY Japan Campaign after installing the patch 1.6.7, and 1.7.0) Us navy has only 3 carriers !! and I could not to achieve second priority "Destroy all carriers". Before installing this two patches I remember that was 4 CARRIERS. When the newest patch will be ready please remember about this bug...

Playing the Allies campaign. Came to Midway scenario. Protected and maintained Midway. Sank invasion fleet. Sank all Japanese carriers. Few and only minor Allies losses. Message: Defeat, campaign ends. What!? Did I misunderstand something or is this a bug? Tried to update through Screen Window, but keeps failing. Is this a shared experience? Please help.

Which version are you playing? This was a bug in the initial release IIRC.

Note that if you started the scenario before applying this or the previous patch you'll need to restart the scenario to get the fixed version. Alternatively use the #igotnukes cheatcode in the final turn to get your victory.
