Observation
Auto combat still needs work. I was at war as Sonneneve, sent a leaderless army of 10 light infantry and 10 elven archers to attack an occupation force of 3 units. My archers kept going after one unit, and in the final phase my melee guys were unable to defeat the remaining 2 units.
Come on, 20:3 odds and it fails. This is bad since the economic drop takes alot of cash to rebuild.

Bug
I was at war with Cragenwaste, had eliminated their armies, taken 5 provinces and was occupying their capitol. Went into diplomacy, offered peace, the tooltip said "they are likely to accept this", sent the offer, and was told that the deal was declined because "it is impossible for either side to accept this deal" (something like that).

The Autobattle archer fix is one of the first AI improvements scheduled following OpenGL. What's happening is that ranged fire deals "softening" damage, which decreases as an opposing unit's life declines (as long as that unit is a group). The ranged AI has a tendency of fixating on one or two units, which makes archers notoriously ineffective in large autobattles. Their strength is intended soften the enemy for melee units to finish off, and so the planned fix is for ranged units to scatter their attacks instead of focusing.

So, not to rush you or anything but is there a timeline for this OpenGL re-write? Are we looking at several weeks? Several months?

Great game potential so far by the way!

Sovereignty 1.8 info:

Some of you may have noticed that there was no update this week - this is just because the new Irregulars class needs more time than our usual updates, particularly to test it and to make sure the class ability is working properly - we expect update 1.8 to be ready to go next week.

On a side note: we still have 10 month of work ahead and one of the biggest on the technical side is adding Open GL support, we first need to finish this before adding the planned new features, please give us some time. We promise there will be a lot more focus on adding new features once we have the Open GL sorted.
