Italy's first official FoG tournament will be held on the 11/12 October in Faenza, a
small medieval town near Bologna in Emilia-Romagna.

Usual format, with a social dinner planned for Saturday evening (given this is
Emilia-Romagna, one of Italy's great cuisine areas, I'm looking forward to this :))

Details to follow soon.

It sounds like THE tournament to get to, Peter, both for heritage and cuisine! Maybe one year, once I've retired.....

Well I've booked the flights . Just need to get a hotel sorted.

Oh and I suppose some practise games might be needed as well.

Thanks Pete. I will do. Slightly off this subject matter, have you come up against Battle wagons yet.

I'm also going to Clichy France , I don't suppose your going.?

Cheers

That's a 'no' on both counts.

Clichy really appeals but my wedding anniversary is on the 26th and I don't have enough brownie points to get a pass!

I'm sure you'll have a good time though.

Well the answer to that is take the wife. I'm having a long weekend to include the Friday and Monday so some brownie points with wife and some gaming for me. For the Italian one Wife and daughter are going so shopping for them and gaming for me oh and no end of brownie points. Just a pity there's a Spanish one on same weekend as the Italian one.

If your in the Nothampton area give me a shout as I really need some practice. I did fancy using 3 BG's of Battlewagons in a German medieval but thought they might get outshot by Longbows so wanted practice before deciding on a list.

Cheers

Jim,

Did you get hotel sorted? Andrea or Matteo should be able to help you there.

Yes Thanks Peter, they have sent me some hotel info and I've requested rooms from one of them that was recommended but had no online booking service so just awaiting confirmation.

Now I need to decide which period and army.

Cheers
