Slitherine

I completely messed up New Georgia when I landed 6 hexes east of Munda Point. My landing force found itself obstructed and surrounded by numerous undetected enemy - totally annihilated my marines. My next attempt I landed further East with 3x as many units, job done.

Any ideas on how to recce a hostile shore, especially when the enemy has a concealment ability?

Land with one unit first, keep a destroyer next to the landing beach so you can embark the next turn if things go south..

I usually have a destroyer beside just in case I need to bug off best still use higgin boats so you can overcome a land def very very fast
