I don't suppose the hot fix and the official patch would have the same version number, therefore keeping the game from updating?

The "check for update" box is no help, says I'm up to date.. But I ain't

Update shows newer version available, but I keep getting 'ftp error downloading file from matrix site.'

The Steam update says 1.6.7
I copied this over to the Slitherine install and this version now works as well.
I had hoped the server games would be kept, I finished a couple of games under the new 1.6.7. But now the old games are deleted.

Because of the replay system any changes to unit stats or gameplay mechanics would result in different outcomes compared to the original turn. The only way to solve this would be to somehow use old stats & mechanics for games launched before a patch got live, but that would be very difficult to implement.

Perhaps someone could post a link to the update for those souls unable to use the game to update?

I'm still getting the ftp error... I've shutdown everything, rebooted, etc. and it won't work. In fact, the Matrix auto-update has never worked for me on any game
