I noticed that if you have a lower strenght unit (say 2 strenght points left) and you upgrade it, its strenght is restored back to 10, but if you repair the same unit you get max. 5 strenght points. Is this WAD?

You can click a second time to repair it at full strenght...

True, but this works only in the deployment phase, during the regular game turns you can reinforce max. 5 strenght points.

This is by design. Max repair in the field depends on wether the units moved or is next to an enemy.
To me it sounds correct that max repair at the base (deployment) should be higher.

But my point is that you can have max repair ALSO during the scenario if you upgrade the unit.

Ah, sorry.
I guess the rationale is that when you upgrade a unit, then you buy a full strength unit for the upgrade price.

Often is
This game appears simple (to play), but there is a lot going on under the hood.

Indeed! after playing for a while I realised how many fine tunings and well thought features are in this game. This is the best game I purchased since a while and I am confident that the developers will bring even more improvements and new contents in the future.
