If V65 was $20, would it increase the production value of the game ? ....possible follow ons to the game maybe ? Hire some techie right out of school to enter code ?
$10 sounds too cheap. IMO, computer gaming has to be THE cheapest entertainment "bang for the buck" there is. I think I figured it out that it cost me 10 cents an hour to play the BotB and DoM series. It may be the only thing in the modern world that I think is priced less then what I feel it should......this coming from someone who knows NOTHING about marketting. I can only assume that there are fancy charts and graphs that say, "If we price it at $X, we can expect #Y sales".
Maybe a higher price point would weed out the gamers simply looking for their next twitch thrill in between ADD meds ? Eliminate those that would comment that "The explosions aren't big enough" or something. Surely, a mature gamer.....with a job....could fork out $20 for a decent game in the hopes that the revenues would go to produce even better stuff down the road.
.....but this is all a bunch of consumer psychology stuff, I'm just talking out my ass right now.
