What do the numbers in yellow mean at the bottom (when I select my unit and get ready to attach, the defense numbers show a normal black number and a yellow number)

It displays the stats of the selected unit and the hovered unit, for easy comparison. The higher stats are coloured yellow, so you can quickly see which stats are better for which unit.
