creating a new campaign/scenario

Hello,
My friend and I just bought BA. We enjoy playing the campaign/scenarios by email.
I went to the editor to create a new game based on the Siegfried Line. After creating a new map/game, I went to look for the game I had created and found it only listed under campaigns (in yellow). I was unable to open it up. I obviously missed something. How do you start to create a multiplayer campaign/scenario in the editor and can I somehow retrieve the map/game I just created?
1) Do I select a Campaign for the scenario or do I create a new Campaign with the button? My friend has the basic game not the expansions...does it matter which campaign I choose to create for our PBEM games?
2) When I get to the window that says Campaign Folder Name...what should I put there?
3) What should I put in the space that says Campaign Name and is this what shows up in yellow on the list?
4) Where do I put in the name of the scenario...what appears in white on the list? I know that there is a window that says New Scenario or Start with an Existing Scenario?

I am sure that there is an easy answer to my problem...however, it eludes me at this time.
Thanks for creating such an enjoyable game.
Sincerely,
JET

Multiplayer campaigns require that you create a CAMPAIGN.TXT file for them listing the scenarios. Take a look at one of the existing MP campaigns (either in the install folder, or at a downloaded campaign) to see the format. It must also be in the MULTIPLAYER folder in My Documents/My Games/BBCBA. IIRC BA1 doesn't have the option to create campaigns in the MP folder, so you will need to move it across by hand.

Campaign folder is the actual folder name your new campaign will be stored in, the Campaign Name is the name that shows up in the SP or MP campaign list.

Cheers

Pip

Hi Pip,
I am still having difficulty in playing the scenario I created. My campaign name SIEGFRIED shows up in the multiplayer list (in yellow)...but the scenario BREAKING THROUGH doesn't appear. I looked in the BBCBA file and found my campaign... and in the scenarios I found the map/game I had created. It had a BAM file extension. I noticed that the your games also had file extensions of BSF and LIGHTING. Do I need to add these in my scenario folder? You also mentioned that I need to create a CAMPAIGN.TXT file. Does this mean I just create a file with this name or is it more complex? Is this file created before I begin to work on my game? What is IIRCBA1?
I have searched the forum for a possible step by step list of instructions on how this all works. I found an article written a while back that was titled "How To: Create a Simple Campaign" It was helpful to a point but it seemed to show an earlier version of BA. I also looked on You Tube but found nothing. A step by step guide for newbies such as myself would be most helpful. To a person such as yourself my questions may seem stupid but I would really like to be able to use the map/game I have created and I am more than willing to learn. From the forum I can see that a lot of wonderful games are being created. That's the beauty of your game that I am missing. Thank you for taking the time to make this more understandable.
Sincerely,
JET
