Hi

I love Battle Academy and I bought all of the expansions. However, when I removed and then reinstalled the app, all of the expansions went back to needing purchase. How can I get all of the expansions I paid for back?

Thanks for the help

Craig

I'm sorry you are having problems with unlocking the Mega Pack. Once you have reinstalled the app (and provided you bought the complete mega pack, rather than the individual campaigns), you need to click the "Give me everything". It will then ask you to enter your iTunes password and it will ask you to confirm the purchase with the options "buy" or "cancel". When you click "Buy" iTunes verifies that you have already purchased the mega pack so it tells you you have already bought the expansions and then unlocks them. You are not charged again.

One thing to note is if you purchased each expansion separately, you need to follow the steps above, but instead of clicking "Give me everything" you need to click on each campaign separately. If you bought the individual expansions and click the "Give me everything" or if you bought the mega pack and click on the individual campaigns you will be charged again, but as long as you select the option you previously purchased then it will not charge you. I hope this clarifies the process.

I bought some individual campaigns but I don't remember which ones.

If I go trying one by one, I will be charged for the ones which I had not bought. I just want to restore what I bought and not buy new ones.

Is there any "Restore purchases" button?

Thanks!

Daniel

I assume we are speaking of iPad, as long as you are using the same iTunes account, just redownload them from the app.
It will say it costs you but after you click buy and enter your password itunes will recognise youve already purchased it and wont charge you.
When you click "Buy" iTunes verifies that you have already purchased the app so it tells you you have already bought the expansions and then unlocks them. You are not charged again.

Thanks for your quic response.

The problem is that I don't remember which campaigns I have purchased before.

I Fried to explain this in my post nur maybe I was not clear.

If follow your steps on a campaign which I had not bought, I will be charged.

I only want to restore the campaigns I have bought but I don't remember which ones I bought.

How can I check which campaigns I bought? I don't want to buy new campaigns by accident.

Thanks!

Daniel

doesn't it send a email receipt ?

or

Code: Select all

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204088
See your purchase history in the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC

If you have played multiplayer, then they should be registered in your account. However I have checked your account and unfortunately none are registered.
So you'll need to contact iTunes, assuming that you don't have the receipts of your orders.

BA1 doesn't have a restore button, no. However if you attempt to purchase expansions that you already have then the system will not charge you a second time provided you are logged in to the same iTunes account as you purchased them.

Dear all,

Thanks a lot for your clarifications.

Dear Pip: I know that I won't be charged for the expansions I did buy. As you can see from my previous posts, the problem is that I don't remember which ones I bought and don't want to buy new expansions by accident.

Just to wrap up:

If you don't remember which expansions you have bought the only possible solutions are the following:

1. Try the ones you "think" you bought. If you bought them, you won't be charged. If you had not bought them, then you will be charged.

2. Search your e-mails for the receipt you get from iTunes to find out which campaigns you bought. If you don't find the e-mail you won't be able to know if you bought a given campaign.

3. From iTunes in PC or Mac, follow the steps described in this KB article: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204088
Depending on how big your purchase history is, this can be very tedious because Apple does not offer any search functionality. You have to browse your whole purchase history manually month by month until you see something which might be what you are looking for...

I have several apps for the iPad and the iPhone a some of them have in-app purchases. I find it extremely difficult to keep track of which in-app purchases I did and which I didn't. Luckily, most of them have a "Restore purchases" button which will restore what I bought. I think that Battle Academy is the only app I have which does not offer this functionality. I wish it had it!

Hopefully the developers will implement it some time. I realise it is not easy to put developer's time on an app which not that recent anymore but sill, I will keep my hopes... :)

Daniel
