Hello,
as the title says, does this game follows Panzer Corps rules ?

I mean the close/open terrain, artillery support for units close to them, artillery suppression, ... ?

In parts it shares mechanics (as originated in Panzer General) but in general, no.

Terrain in OoB has a "cover percentage" rather than just being either open or close. The result is that tanks still perform best on open terrain (0% cover), but also perform better in villages (50% cover) than they would in cities (100% cover).
Artillery doesn't support units automatically but all damage to efficiency (somewhat similar to PzC's suppression) is permanent until the target unit manages to recover out of combat. Anti-tank and AA guns do support adjacent units however.

You should feel very comfortable playing OoB the first time if you are used to games like PG and PzC, but make no mistake this is a different game. With the introduction with a supply system and various detailed combat mechanics and special abilities there will be a learning curve involved.

Thanks for the answers :)

A little bit more complexity is nice.
I appreciate the support of anti-tank, in PzC they feel a bit useless.

It departs enough from Panzer Corps that you don't have to start from scratch, but still must relearn

No more rugged defense or close terrain. Supply and Concealment are new. Planes are handled differently and ship combat has an interesting take on distance and keeping it to fire effectively and so on.
Basically, I am back to noob after years of Panzer General/Corps.

Like most of the changes so far, not happy about torpedos. NPCs use them so much better than me, I don't know how to align or what to do to hit harder with torps.
