Out of 20 open skirmish online games with German/Imperial Catholic I have won 15 and lost 5 games! As one of my most successful armies to play with I’d like to share a few thoughts on it. It’s a well balanced army, a good choice of foot and horse, average and superior and some light support. The earlier period has mostly early tercios and later has later tercios
I always tend to choose maximum superior cavalry. The infantry often becomes a slug-fest so I aim to win with the cavalry and then if successful to support the infantry fight. If facing superior or more numerous cavalry I tend to deploy and move in a tight formation with infantry in the lead. I only wish I could win one game with them in FOGR
