Slitherine

Updated P&S and installed Tercio to Salvo. Game is stable through list of updates, however once I click the OK button, the monitor starts to flicker and the mouse cursor disappears. Have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX970 video card and an HP V242h LED backlit monitor. The flicker is not controllable and only way I can get rid of it is to restart the CPU. Any suggestions?

Were you experiencing the issue before updating?

No, the problem only occurs when I start P&S. I'm using Windows 8.1. All my other games and program work without the flicker.

Try checking your options.txt file (in My Documents/My Games/PIKEANDSHOT) and see that the REZX and REZY values match your screen resolution. You can also try setting the FULLSCREEN value to zero (this forces the game to run in windowed mode, though it will still fill the screen).

[Addendum: For Pike and Shot: Campaigns, the options.txt file is in My Documents/My Games/PSCAMP)

That did the trick, needed to change the REZY to 1080. Thanks for the help.

Getting similar issue on a Alienware17 with a GTX 980M - bought game a week ago, not an upgrade - never worked
once you click ok on the patch note screen flickers and you need to shut down or log out to fix.
Have verified cache integrity
there was no pkieandshot folder in .\documents\mygames\
created one and added a options.txt containing the following
FIRSTRUN 1
fullscreen 0
rezx 1024
rezy 768

all drivers are up to date
still no better.

suggestions ?

Pike and Shot Campaigns uses a different path.

The Options.txt file should go in

My Documents/My Games/PSCAMP
