I've downloaded both of the above, and run the install procedure. I get a message saying they have installed successfully, but Tercio to Salvo won't run at all when I click on 'play game', and the website doesn't recognise the updated version of P&S when I try to resume my multiplayer games. Any ideas?

TtoS isn't a separate package, it's unlocked from within the latest version of P&S. So I am not sure what you mean by both of the above. You should just need to update P&S to the latest version, and then unlock the expansion using its serial ingame.

I've managed to track down an error message, which says that the program can't start because mss32.dll is missing from my computer, and that I should try reinstalling to fix the problem. I've tried this several times, but it still won't run.

I've just tried reinstalling yet again, and this time I get new error messages:
Data element of line is too long on line 104 in FromData(0)
Fatal Application Exit ***Unhandled Exception! Exp Code0x80000003 ExpFlags : 0 ExpAddress:0x0048FBEO Please report!

So I am doing. I hope the above means something to someone at Slitherine, because it's all Greek to me....

It sounds from those error messages that something is preventing it from installing correctly. Do you have any virus checkers etc running which may be interfering. The DLL error basically means that the game is either trying to run in the wrong folder, or that it's missing files from the installation.

Thanks for your advice. I've resolved the problem by completely uninstalling P&S, than re-installing the original from the CD, then applying the update and finally the Tercio to Salvo expansion. All now seems to be in working order, much to my relief!
