Lieutenant difficulty (compared with sergent/colonel)

Hello,
I recently tried a map at both colonel and lieutenant difficulty levels.
I did not feel the difference between the 2.

My suggestion is to have a better intermediate setting for lieutenant with, for example, +3 turns (instead of 0 or 5) and AI strength -3 (instead of 0 and -5).
I mention it iIn case there is a patch or any work is on-going to a new installment of the series (like Soviet corps).

On lieutenant you get 20% more prestige and experience.

The difference is minimal for single battles, but in a campaign it can make all the difference!

In your Panzer Corps directory (in case you play the PC version) there is the data folder. In this folder look for the file "diff.pzdat". Open it with any spreadsheet and you will see the differences between all difficulty levels.

It is the same with General and Field Marshal difficulty. At first it does feel exactly the same (and it is, because only experience gain is reduced), but after a few missions in the campaign the difference has a pretty huge impact. And in the end when your units are about two experience ranks behind you struggle where you steamrolled them at General difficulty. It really is the small things that accumulate. Taking a few more losses, having to take risks, because suddenly the time limit is harder to beat and you have to spend more on reinforcements.

The point of around Sealion 40 in the main campaign is where you really start noticing! I tried on Colonel when normally I play Lieutenant and found myself 4k prestige behind where I usually am. Sealion is too mean in Colonel for me  (One day I'll go back to it, probably not until 2025!)
