Where are the Challenge reports?

I have been waiting for days now for the wave of AARs from the Challenge. I was pleased to see a good distribution of different armies in the top places. In fact, other than a nugget of Bosporans in the middle, there was a good distribution of armies throughout the results table.

Does anyone choose to share their experience? C'mon,, folks, this is the internet. Where is the idle boasting? The unsupported claims?

I didn't come last! The guy one place below me did!
I played 5 and lost 4 - or rather I played 5 and won one!

My first opponent was seeded and he ripped me to pieces!
From that game onwards it slowly got better!

I had a great time - my first ever comp, it was really tiring (5 three hour games in a day and a half is a lot) and I'd definately do it again!

Glad you enjoyed yourself Mike.

As to the AARs I have not got round to mine yet but as they are for a different game I suspect they will not be of too much interest here. I would have loved to play in the FoG but ended up getting a FoW comp off the ground and running. Still there is always next year to play FoG at the Challenge and Oxford at the doubles and Brimingham (oh, I am running that one too :( ).

I expect Tim will do a report on Madaxeman.com sometime. Who else is up to it, Nik?

I'll be writing up my report over the next few days - might be a bit dull: throw javelins. evade. throw javelins. evade. throw javelins. evade.

The gaultlet is thrown down and as a result I've been forced to add some more gadgets to my site and have a post match analysis from an animated Hannibal as well as the first 2 reports online now.

Thank you Tim. I've always found your reports hugely enjoyable and have tried for a while to do something similar. Moving from ASCII text reports to using photos makes a big difference. I've got hold of photoshop recently and I'm experimenting with it. Probably the best text-only reports are Mr J Morgan's reports, which are very entertaining and somewhat rude. He's still in the DBM world so we won't see much of his reporting here.

Madaxeman,

Thanks for your great reports. As a newbie I especially appreciate the blue bits where you explain the rules.

I had trouble finding the round 4 fight. Could you post the link?

Thanks!
