If they do not fit do you:
1) Move them nearer than 4" to the other piece?
2) Have it less than 8" from the edge?

Hi Bob,
Sorry for the delay but I wanted to check with Keith Spedding who will be the FoGR Umpire at Stoke. Keith says:
"move it the minimum distance nearer the other piece required to fit it in"

This is just a reminder for anyone playing at Stoke Challenge to get their lists into me ASAP.
When I posted this I forgot that I would be away at the BHGS Oxford Brookes event over the weekend. So that gives a little lee-way from the original deadline.

There is a slight change in player list for tomorrow. Jon Phipps cannot now attend but I am pleased that Simon Green from Burton has taken up the 10th place.
Give us a Cluedo? To save you guessing – Mr Green is not using the lead pipe in the conservatory but Late Habsburg Austrian 1688 in the Stoke TAC.
So, no big change to the R & R and we should not have any byes unless there is a last minute ‘no-show’. The first round looks like 5 BAD players against the rest.
As previously you will need to bring your own lunch but please note that Jonathan Murphy’s wife has kindly 'volunteered' to run a tea and coffee stand tomorrow. She'll also be selling some flapjacks.

Winner: Dene 'I never fail cohesion tests' Green
Second: Steve Hoult
Best painted army - by some way - Martin Stephenson
Thanks to Ray for a great day's gaming and Keith for suitably arbitrary rulings
Thanks to my opponents:
Martin for his unswerving ability to throw 1s on death rolls
Dene for passing EVERY cohesion test with his battle troops (this against a Qing Chinese)
Graham doing the dance round the centre of the table

- see pic: (and Yes the red dice are one of his melee throws)

To add insult to injury when Dene refused to fail a single cohesion test on the way in when he charged I double dropped with two units and a simple fail with the third
But how we laughed

Congratulations to Dene and to Steve who did very well with his all Average army.
And congratulations to Martin Stephenson who brought a knife to a gunfight with his arquebus era Persians but who did win "Best Presented Army".
Also many thanks to Bob Medcraft and our friends at the Oxford club for the loan of 5 x 3 cloths.
Last & not least thanks to Jonathan Murphy for providing a spacious & airy venue. Also our appreciation to Mrs Murphy for manning the refreshments stall.

That's one way of looking at my performance!

Here here! When I thanked Mrs. Murphy at the end of the day her reply was something along the lines of "it's not a problem because it's been raining all day".
