Too close to Table Edge, how do I get out of this one?

My guys are the pale blue Knights and Mob!, facing off against a friend's Crossbow. My Knights have just broken his Voulgiers and they have VMDed off the table leaving me quite close to the edge.

Now what I want to do is swing my Knights around and get into the Crossbow flank (because the Mob! is already disrupted and I don't trust it to hold much longer). With the table edge so close what maneuvers are available for me to get stuck in, without hitting the table edge?

About the only thing I could think of was a 90 degree turn creating a one-frontage four-deep column of knights ready for charge, followed by an overlap feed after impact... but if there are any other options I'm missing please advise.

The only change I can think of is if you are drilled and pass the CMT to turn 90 and then wheel away from the table untill you almost contact the x-bow. This leaves you in a slightly better position of the mob routs and the x-bow persue.

I agree. Your knights will then charge in your next impact phase.

The 90 turn is about your only option. Even without the table edge it would probably be the best choice.

If the knights hit the crossbow in the flank they will get 2 dice at ++ vs 2 at -- and auto disrupt the crossbow. You could then expand to a 2 by 2 block and get 4 dice at ++ which is pretty decisive.

I can't imagine the crossbow surviving even if they beat the Mob.

If you check p44 you will see that depth is measured in distance, not in elements. The line is 30mm deep so the turned formation need only be one base wide.
