It was a pleasant surprise to find in recruitable two real astronauts astronauts: Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin (in single player game as Nasa) and Yuri Gagarin (playing Soviet Agency) in multiplayer game against Fsansir.

Problem is not about finding them, but about rights

Yuri Gagarin is quite a world-wide icon, so featuring is name his safe. Buzz Aldrin is associated to the game project, so he allows the use of his image. Pretty much all the others 'nauts rights are strictly controlled by families, NASA (which has an office for that), likely Roskosmos or some office in the Star City in Russia, etc... A complex topic !

As an example, using Neil Amstrong's as a character would cost a mountain of gold...

Awhile back, I created a historical astronaut candidate roster with over 200 names. Takes you up to the 1990 astronaut class. Includes USAF DynaSoar and MOL astronauts.

Just download the file and put it in your SPM-Windows_Data\Scripts\Data Scripts\General Container folder.

Did this work for you? I tried adding it, and got a black screen when trying to play multi-player.

Has anyone created similar lists for SET and flight controllers? Thanks.

I too just get a blank screen when I put this file into the game - so I have done it the old way and typed every name in by hand - I am currently trawling the NASA sites for real controller names and NASA engineers names to put into SET and Flight controllers
I want to then somehow work on the photographs but that will be a bit more difficult I think - but at least its a start - With real names and photos this Sim will be even greater - and if there are any copyright issues etc then i shall do it just for personal use,
