there is a bug with Naseby battle.
the scenario declare a victory if the royalist inflict at least 30% casualties.
night arrive, score are royalist 37% - parlementary 50% but the final message is a defeat for the royalist :?

It is not a bug. The victory conditions are different if night falls. The time limit is supposed to encourage the Royalist forces to come off the hill, as they did historically.

Hi folks, I'm somewhat confused by victory conditions in certain scenarios. Is this scenario still won by the Royalists if they inflict 30% casualties in the time limit? If so why are the default victory conditions shown? Also I'm playing the Walcourt scenario and there is a flag in the town of Walcourt but nothing shown if I mouse over it. There is a 47 turn limit in this scenario - do I have to capture the flag area in order to win the scenario? Again only the usual default victory conditions are shown. If I achieve them do I win regardless of capturing the flag? I can't see anything in the manual about this.

Thanks,
Chris

If the battle goes to the time limit, the Parliamentarians win. As stated above, this is to give the Royalists their historical incentive to attack.

Walcourt is a user-created scenario so I can't answer that. Perhaps Paul59, who wrote the scenario, can.

Hi Chris,

I've just checked this scenario, and it does say "Capture the flag at Walcourt" in the Objective instructions on screen. See this screenshot;

You can either capture the flag or win with the usual victory conditions, it says that on screen.

Cheers
