FoG as a demo game - does it work?

Today I was at Salute (the largest wargames show I know of in the UK). There was a large Osprey presence and FoG was displayed on many trade stands. However there was not a display/demo game using FoG that I could see. I was told that one had been seen at the Abingdon (Oxfordshire) show, run by a couple of beta testers.
There were ancient demo games using other rules. Is FoG viable as a demo game? Does anyone on the list have experience of using it as such? Any tips they might like to share?

I think that FoG is fine as a demo game. The problem is getting people willing to run a demo instead of play in the tournament. It is an event better game to play "for real."

There was also a major UK comp - BHGS Challange - on at the same weekend just outside London. About 50 of the UK FOG players (plus a couple of French players) were at the event. That might explain why it was hard to find people to put on a demo.

It is a great and easy game to teach and demo. As pointed out there was a popular FoG event competing the Salute.
Personally I think the game is very well suited for players to tweak scenarios, campaigns, Demos and tournaments.
I think like all Demos you have to decide what your are trying to show? USually the combat interactions. SO you set up the units much closer and have at it. I demo'd a napoleonics game a number of years back ata convention and made the mistake of showing the grand tactical mauver and people said, "i want to see a cavalry charge"
Babyshark and I ran the 2 hours demo at historicon in the US last for FoG. We had to beat people away 3 deep around the table. We started off with some groups stuff and then broke down the ends of the table into different groups so more people could roll dice and kill things.
