hi fog men

bowmen are supposed to have the opportunity to fire at least once before mounted knight contact them, isn't it? as effective range and knight move are both 4 MU, knight may be fired on once.

but what if bowmen have portable defenses in front of them. It makes their front 2 cm closer. Or does we consider the front of the defense to be the new firing front ?

note that a french ask for bow!!! should be an english question!!! :D

ur sincerelly

The front edge of the PD stakes bases are placed where the front edge of the bowmen bases were and the bowmen are moved back behind the stakes. However, the bowmen count their shooting distance from the front of their stakes and in impact/melee count as being in the position of the stakes.

By my reckoning, you should get two shots at them before contact...the knights move to 4MU or closer in their turn, you shoot them, then in your turn you shoot them again! Then they crash into you and become tin-can pin-cushions on your stakes and with the rear rank of LB firing at them in impact...or at least that's the plan!
