Allied Corps difficulty (compared with the other games)

Hello,
I'm quite new to Panzer Corps.
I first bought Allied Corps back in november last year (thanks to a promotion).

The campaign was going well until I reached Crusader.
I tried several times but I always lost and stopped.
Note that I play with the default difficulty setting: colonel and everything on (randomness, weather, fog of war)

Recently I read some guides (thanks to all people who wrote them, if you read this) and started again.
Again everything was going well until I reached Crusader.

I found out forum posts with tips for this map. It looks like I'm not the only one to have difficulties there, which is a bit reassuring.
Thanks to the tips in those posts I could finally win the map, but it was very close. 1 more turn and I would have lost some core units.

Then I won Cauldron, the next map, on my first trial. Again it was very close, as for Crusader, 1 more turn and I would have lost some core units. And ... Well, sorry for the 150th...
I had a look at the map and I'm wondering how we are supposed to have a triumph with such an overwhelming ennemy army. Its like there is one unit per hex on the west.

Then I won 1st Alamein on the 1st try as well. I found it a bit easier than the previous 2 (I did not have a very good army setup for this map, yet I managed the victory with no core loss).
Then I found 2nd Alamein even easier, I could quite easily take 4 positions and then I defended until the end.

From Crusader, I'm talking about standard victory (with no core loss, this is a requirement for my gameplay). Triumph is out of reach for me (at least with my settings).
Also, as you can read I feel like the difficulty is going down, maybe to go up badly later on ?.

Now the real question is:
Is Allied Corps more difficult than Panzer Korps, Afrika Korps and/or Grand Campaign ?
Or is the difficulty also quite variable during those campaigns ?

Imarion.
PS: thanks for reading all this :)
PS2: english is not my mother tongue.

Allied Corps is very easy until Crusader, then it mauls you for a little, then you get so much cash (like 10k each scenario) that it becomes almost unloseable. Afrikakorps has a couple of scenarios that are harder than Crusader (Basra, Gazala Line), but aside from that the Allied campaign is roughly equal in difficulty to the other campaigns (overall anyway - GC45 is probably harderby itself)

Thanks for the answer.
In the meantime I played Medenine which I got with even more ease.
Ok I admit I cheated a bit in a sense that I first deploied all the planes and spent 1 or 2 turns exploring the map and see what the axis would do.
Then I played it normally.

What you did isn't cheating. PzC requires foreknowledge of the scenario in order to be successful. Remember that in PzC scouting is ineffective as triggers can make enemy armies appear or air groups out of thin air. You just have to learn the scenario.

As for difficulty, AC is easier than Africa and certainly easier than post 1942 GC. This is because the game accurately reflects that the allies had semi-infinite resources from 1943 onwards. The British empire, USSR, and USA were each individually stronger than nazi Germany at that point, it was just a matter of keeping losses to a level the public would accept. Indeed it was obvious to well informed observers such as Admiral Canaris as early as 1939 that Germany would lose, it was only early Allied blunders that allowed the war to get out of hand.
